I'm not sure what you mean by selecting exactly the right files etc., but if you are looking for something that will restore your entire system exactly to your last backup, you may want to look at Clonezilla. Yep - I was just looking at the 14.Obeta1/14.Obeta2 part of the subject line and assumed it was a new release. I guess those elementary teacher's were right when they said I was 'attention span' challenged..

I loaded this into a VM this morning. No issues, wireless, audio, video all working. .... so my only issue is, as soon as I get back to report my findings, I see a new release candidate is out ..grrr ;)
