Actually I've got similar netbook. I've installed salix in LXDE version. Everything was working out of the box except webcam, which I've never really needed. What is important, the responsiveness is outstanding.

One might argue what is important bugfix. When I looked into geany`s release notes there are many bugfixes more or less important. Hello
Are you going to add multilib libraries to repositories? It's necessary to run some applications in 64bit salix version: wine for instance...
I did it on my salix but now gslapt wants to downgrade them.
