Whilst the above works fine for Salix64-13.1, it doesn't seem to for the 32 bit version.
Trying to install Nvidia driver after the kernel upgrade (slapt-get -i kernel-modules kernel-huge kernel-firmware kernel-source + blacklisting) gives the error, " cant find nvidia.ko
modprobe nvidia - gives > FATAL: Module nvidia not found
There doesnt seem to be an (/lib/modules/2.6.33.3/kernel/drivers/video/)nvidia.ko present?
Suggestions would be appreciated, I prefer to use the 32bit version so that all my apps run ok.
Thanks in advance.
Salix64-13.1 and NVIDIA (SOLVED)
Re: Salix64-13.1 and NVIDIA (SOLVED)
I managed to get the above resolved.
I ran [ls /var/log/packages/kernel*] and found that I needed to upgrade the kernel-headers,kernel-huge-smp & kernel-modules-smp too.
