I have nothing to say but I'm really happy for Salix and you :)
Keep going strong!

LOL, it did to me... it stills feel a little weird but I'm getting adjusted to it.
I'd say it is less practical than Xfce, but way more sexy!
So I'll probably switch back off & on...

I have to admit KDE4 does seam to get in the way and I still think they're trying to reinvent the wheel but this has to be the best I've seen from the DE.

The international live iso has been bumped to version 13.1.2a by djemos. This includes a small fix, as locale packages were used properly on a live environment, but were not transfered to the installed system after doing a hard drive installation. Nothing else changed. Links in the downloads page and also in the first post in this announcement have been updated.

Thank you for the link!
It's nice to see that there are many people around (who aren't using this forum) and are still lurking to see what's new with Salis OS (linus72 for those who don't know, he's a very cool guy, too)

Thanks zachary and duncan idaho!
Understand that I am the reviewer there and must be critical and try to find something wrong, as that's what the site maintainer wants, and although personally it's a 10 to me I dont like the new KDE too much but could find nothing really wrong except the LiveClone thing, which is because I just think that a app like Vector Live's Remaster thing is cool because you can do it either way, during live session or hdd install
SalixOS' liveclone only does live session or no?

Anyway, it's great and was wondering if you guys were gonna go to the 2.6.35.7 -current kernel anytime soon?

also, have you guys seen the KDE trinity 3.5.12 stuff?
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... -a-837170/

great work and keep it up!

OK thanks Akuna

what do you guys think about the 2.6.35.7 kernel?
I have some aufs2/squashfs-lzma patches for the Slackware smp kernel 2.6.35.7
and already have then in my own nFluxOS Slackware editions
http://multidistro.com/NFLUXNEW/SQ4/slack.html
of course they are -current based, not 13.1

I also have successfully compiled a new 2.6.36 smp live kernel and also have the patches (aufs2/squashfs-lzma) for that as well
theres a bug with aufs2/posivxl on fat32 with the new aufs2/2.6.36 but that should be fixed soon...

when you goes do get done with the liveclone is it going to be similar to how Vector did it with their live 6.0 wherein theres a older similar to linux-live in /root, etc?
thats how mine do it, and can do it live or installed to hdd
you just run the build script in linux-live-6.3.0_x86

I also have a 64bit version of linux-live-6.3.0 if you guys want to put out a live 64bit cd
anyway, if you need anything holler as I have accumulated alot of stuff concerning livecd making
thanks again for making a great distro!
