Hi,

I've installed salix 13.1.1 on my eeepc 1000h, but I have problems to
connect to my router with via wlan. wicd is not working, because
wpa_supplicant can't complete the handshake.

So I tried several suggestions for wpa_supplicant.conf i found
in the web, but all I tried end up in:
WPA: 4-Way Handshake failed - pre-shared key may be incorrect

Unfortunatly I'm a total noob in wireless krimskrams. Do you have
an idea?

You may find some useful infos here:
http://salix.pastebin.com/BHvWkawQ

The device is a RaLink RT2860 with driver rt2680sta.

It works in Ubuntu with NetworkManager (so its not a hardware
problem).

If you like to see some screenshots of my eeepc, have a look here:

I would be pleased. There are some pic and some small talk :-)

thx
Christian

Which module are you using? You should post the output of lspci and lsmod.

As far as I know there are two different modules for your card, rt2860sta and rt2800pci. Try blacklisting the one you currently use and load the other one. Also check that you have the rt2860-firmware package installed.
