Xfdiff is graphic interface to the GNU diff and patch commands. With this utility, you can view differences side by side for files or directories. You can also view differences that applying a patch file would imply, without applying the patch. You can also apply patches to the hard disc or create patch files for differences between files or directories. All-in-all, a handy utility for lazy chaps who don't want to type the diff command.

May I ask for a similar package I am very fond of? MELD:

Last version is 1.3.0.

I have to admit that these days I have NO time to play with Salix, but I plan to change this soon. I would prefer then to have Salix have more of the packages I am used with :-)

As an extra suggestion: take a look at the RHEL5/CentOS5/ScientificLinux5 repository I have built some time ago: Odiecolon.repo.

Either in its main presentation page (scroll down) or in its RepoView pages, you can see some packages not present in RHEL5, but "needed" by me in EL5. Does any of those packages (e.g. small games and utilities) ring a bell to any of you? Maybe someone could build something for Salix too?

If any of you is French, he might be interested in a game of Belote, see a screenshot of Belooted.

Meld looks nice. If someone else doesn't have a go at it during the next days, I'll give it a try. Maybe we could also use it from within dotnew... ;)
