Changes that I attempt to apply on Engrampa (e.g. uncheck /View/Toolbar) or Liferea are not saved.
I use Salix Xfce 14.1 (32-Bit).

Re: Settings are not saved
I do not think it was ever installed in Salix Xfce 14.1. I did notice dconf is shipped with Openbox edition.
These commands return nothing:
After installing dconf, settings are saved. Thank you, gapan.

Code: Select all
$ ls -1 /var/log/removed_packages/ | grep dconf

Re: Settings are not saved
Fresh install of Salix64 14.1 XFCE on VirtualBox. Confirms both the engrampa setting not being saved (dconf not installed) and the Desktop Untrusted link launcher.
Installing dconf resolves the engrampa problem.
Clinking on "Mark Executable" resolves the Desktop Launcher problem.

Re: Settings are not saved
This is an opportunity to release a new ISO of Salix Xfce 14.1 without an RC2 label.

Re: Settings are not saved
Engrampa is not shipped either in BASIC, so that's consistent in my opinion. spi, gslapt or slapt-get can be used to install any additional package you need. Additionally if you want a graphical environment it's simpler to install FULL, I think.zAchAry wrote:SALIX 14.2 (basic installation) also has this problem... pfff..
Re: Settings are not saved
In older 64-bit Xfce Salix distributions (full installation mode), one had to install dconf additionally. Do not know how it is now in version 14.2. The dconf installation improved some of the behavior, but other behavior were worsened.zAchAry wrote:SALIX 14.2 (basic installation) also has this problem... pfff..
Re: Settings are not saved
It should at least be set as a recommended package for packages such as Engrampa.DidierSpaier wrote:Engrampa is not shipped either in BASIC, so that's consistent in my opinion. spi, gslapt or slapt-get can be used to install any additional package you need.
