And you didn't think of mentioning this before? You problems have nothing to do with mate.

You are right.
I, mistakenly, did not mention this fact.
I should have mention that I don't use the whole components of MATE, already when I have specified the installed packages of mine.

Fantastic!

Remmina from the repos can substitute Vinagre... and I really don't mind Leafpad replacing Pluma and Viewnior replacing Eye of MATE.

The only bug I have seen is setting a background image directly from Firefox doesn't work.

A menu-editor is missing, too. Where's Mozo (Alacarte fork)?

Somebody ought to make compiz packages... I'll try to lift some material from GNOME SBo myself If I have the time.

What about mate 1.4 in current? I see that some packages are missed, mate-panel for instance...
