At this moment, Salix OS is a spontaneous association of good will without a legal entity of its own which would permit it to receive material gratification of some kind. This will probably change at some point as Salix OS has proven it is here to stay and sooner or later, as a part of our natural growth, we may need to formalize things a bit.
When we do, then will we be able to do such things as raise funds by means of collecting donations, or selling some items or even some services which in turn will help pay for server costs, buy test and build machines, organize meetings and send delegations to Open Source gatherings, Linux trade shows and the like.

What really matters is where you are going, not where you come from.
