@Akuna, when you have an opportunity, please also update the info and links about LILOSetup, as currently it is not clear what's the current state of it. TIA.
[/OT]
_ LILOSetup "link" at http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php/C ... d_in-house
_ At http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php/L ... _customize all mentions of LILOSetup should be an active link to the main info page of LILOSetup at http://www.simplynux.fr/index.php/en/so ... setup.html .
_ At http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php/L ... _configure there is a link to a specific version. The link should always point to the latest stable version (in the "current" directory), no matter which specific version would be (keep reading).
_ The instructions at http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php/L ... _configure :
Code: Select all
wget http://people.salixos.org/akuna/livetools/lilosetup/0.2.1/lilosetup-0.2.1-noarch-1plb.txz && installpkg lilosetup-0.2.1-noarch-1plb.txz && slapt-get -u && slapt-get -i os-prober
_ The latest stable version in the "current" directory should be named with a "static" permanent / unchanged file name, instead of using the version number. By using an unchanged file name, the above link (in the code) would work independently of the specific version in that directory (if the link in the code is also one-time changed accordingly).
_ If version 0.3 is still in "testing" stage, then maybe that version should also be copied into the "testing" directory , (moving the older testing version, "20110706", to some "old" folder if necessary or relevant).
_ In addition, if v0.3 is already stable, then the "testing" directory should be empty (moving the previous content to "old" if necessary or relevant) and v0.3 should be copied to the "current" directory (and using a "static" unchanging file name when in that directory). Unless there is a reason not to update LILOSetup at all until the next cycle release of Salix .
Once v0.3 is officially in stable state, the changelog should be updated too.
I am mentioning here the English pages. There are translations of the pages to "fr" and "ru", which should also be updated accordingly.
@Akuna, if I am mistaken or something is not clear, please let me know.
TIA.
