Tor

¡Hola!

¡Saludos!

I agree that Tor would be a good addition to the repository. I prefer privoxy over polipo and I believe that is what is currently recommended on the Tor website.

Tor homepage: http://www.torproject.org/
Tor source code: http://www.torproject.org/download-unix.html.en

Privoxy homepage: http://www.privoxy.org/
Privoxy source code: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ijbswa/files/

Bumping this back up the list.

I know, I know... I should build and contribute some SalixOS packages. Life and work have been really busy lately so I haven't had time. Can anyone else take this (along with privoxy)?

For the meanwhile

Privoxy and Tor are available at The Slackers.it Repository:

Code: Select all

http://www.slackers.it/repository/
You may obtain these also at SlackBuilds.org: Privoxy, Tor, and Vidalia is also available :)

I don't think SlackBuilds.org had tor, privoxy and libevent when this thread was started. Thanks for pointing me back there now. I have tor running properly with Firefox. FWIW, modifying the script for the latest privoxy version worked out very well.
