one question: i'm buyng an AMD64 CPU, what type (in the middle range) it's better for new salix 64 (and also for slack of course..)?

They all work fine. It's only a matter of price and cpu speed

Is there instructions for updating 13.0 to 13.0.2 posted somewhere? A suggested method?

In this case, the changes are not so drastic that you could break anything.
as root:
slapt-get -u
& then:
slapt-get --upgrade

New 13.0.2a iso images have been released that fix the bug with the autoinstaller and hard drives bigger than 15GB that is mentioned in the first post. You can find those in the download page (link) and they should replace the 13.0.2 iso images. If you have already downloaded one of the 13.0.2 images and you don't want to do another download, just keep in mind to not use the autoinstall feature with hard drives bigger than 15GB and select the install option in the installer, which will let you specify any paritioning scheme using cfdisk.
