Missing icons in kdeedu programs

I installed the KDEEDU programs. They are working but often I miss the icons.
I do not want other KDE programs.
Do I realy need more of KDE just for the icons?

For KDE 4.2 you need the package kdeartwork. For KDE 4.3 you need the package oxygen-icons.

I will have some more packages on my computer:

Die folgenden NEUEN Pakete werden installiert:
akonadi libical pth kdepimlibs lm_sensors qimageblitz kdebase-workspace
kdeartwork
0 aktualisiert, 8 neu installiert, 0 zu entfernen und 0 nicht aktualisert.
Es muessen noch 67,8MB aus den Archiven geholt werden.
Nach dem Entpacken wird 120,4MB zusaetzlicher Plattenspeicher verwendet.

That did not solve the problem.
I removed all the packages again.
After some trying I found out, that just installing kdebase-runtime solved the problem.

Now it is working with the icons.
I still get some messages in the Xterm window, but I think they don't do any harm.

The oxygen icon theme is in the packages, that I've mentioned. But I remember a similar problem: If some KDE apps start the first time without the icons installed something seems to be messed up, but it can be fixed by systemsettings, which is part of kdebase-runtime.

At least it's a good idea to have a seperated oxygen-icons package in KDE 4.3
