[SOLVED] Compiz on MATE

Postby lmello » 28. May 2012, 16:23

Hi,

I'm trying to use Compiz-fusion on Salix MATE using building the packages via slapt-src, I did check the build order:

1. compiz-bcop
2. libcompizconfig
3. compizconfig-python
4. ccsm
5. compiz-plugins-main

I lauched ccsm and checked the options "Window Decoration", "Move Window" and "Resize Window" like the slackbuild's author tells us to do. But when I try the command:

Code: Select all
$ gtk-window-decorator --replace

...nothing happens. :|

Is is because "metacity" was renamed to "marco"?

It didn't work. :|

There's no output of gtk-window-decorator.

I wonder if I'll have to recompile compiz...?

[EDIT] I did it! Well, almost. It seems I'll have to install emerald for window decorations. Anyway, here's what I did:

Code: Select all
compiz ccp --replace &
gtk-window-decorator --replace

And... eye-candy! :)
