[Solved]No User to login with after install of Salix OS Mate

Hi

Install seemed to go fine... except after setting root password it skipped the user account creation for some reason.

Now I can't login. How can I create a user, after the fact.

Please keep it simple as I am a linux/Salix OS beginner?

ps currently writing this from a kubuntu install... can I edit any files on the relevant partition from here ?

EDIT apologies - did not find this before

Alt-F2
log in as root
run usersetup and create a user
Alt-F7
log in as user

going to try that now - will report back
