Choosing the working environment for your Laptop or Desktop

I'd like to know your opinion/feedback on which your preferred graphical environment and why...

xfce - i am just used to using it. That's all. Not much config to make, and still quite light and easy on eyes.
fluxbox - my second fav. I like the simplicity and I had fluxbox on one of my systems for a long time.
KDE - beautiful, but I've never managed to stay with it for long.

xfce because is the one I've used the longest and am used to it
but I've tried and liked other window managers like openbox, scrotwm and xmonad because I like minimalist desktops

LXDE because it is the lightest one I got used to on other distros; it is lithe and lively.
Fluxbox is what I am becoming accustomed to at present.

Why? I use primarily older generations of PCs and want performance with them.

Whatever I try, I always seem to come back to Xfce. It is simple, quite light yet complete, and never gets in your way.

Same as Akuna for me. But LXDE is also a environment I could use for everyday use. I just a bit prefer Xfce (and I'm more used to).
I'm not comfortable at all on Gnome (2, still not tested the 3), and KDE, I'm always lost...but that may perfectly suits others.

1. Openbox (on my home desktop, on my work desktop, on my netbook): It is fast and because of it's many configurable options it is very comfortable. Also it looks great together with tint2. It just does not get in your way while working with it.
2. KDE 4 (on my notebook): because it is IMHO the most modern desktop for Linux. Quite everything on my notebook works without special configuration (backlight control, power management). Nevertheless there are a lot of configuration options for experts. Also KDE can look very nice with preinstalled themes. No need to search gnome-look.org for hours.

Home Desktop: Xfce, Laptop: Linux Mint 11 ( mostly because the cpu fan kept working without stopping ). I have an old laptop at work that I use to play with openbox and conky. It doesn't update because of the proxy and tried allot of options but still is good with the low cpu/ram.
But I have to agree that Xfce is the good option.

Modified Fluxbox on all 3 of my computers
It's light, configurable, and my battery lasts longer than even with Openbox
