Re: Salix Live Xfce 13.37 alpha
so, you just want the contents of the live iso copied to a ext3(?) USB that is using Grub legacy to boot? please clarify? thx EDIT: I am actually making a remaster kit for Slackware/Salix 13.37 with either the 2.6.37.6 kernel or the 2.6.38.4 kernel. The kits make a bootable live media just like Slax...

Re: Upgrading 13.1 to 13.37?
uh, yeah I do have slackpkg and sbopkg installed...
dont know if that would be it?
I am trying to upgrade my PocketWriter Salix 13.1.2 to 13.37
The new PocketWriter uses 2.6.38.5 kernel and xz compression (.xzm)
http://multidistro.com/
so, sooner or later I gotta upgrade to 13.37....

Re: Upgrading 13.1 to 13.37?
Yes, you are right!
But, I did the test upgrad across 3 different 13.1 Salix installs and it did not upgrade Xorg in any of them for some reason...?
Everything else though seems OK and works:)
Thanks everyone, Thenktor, mimosa, laprjns!

Upgrading 13.1 to 13.37?
Was wondering if there are any potential issues when upgrading Salix 13.1 to 13.37?
I removed aaa-elflibs, etc from the blocked packages and am upgrading everything via Gslapt using the 13.37 repo.
Hopefully everything will go well:)

Re: Compiling Kernel with cgroups support and other patches

Re: How to make a Salix OS based distro?
Great work Akuna and Salix team!
One question though; would this work on a slackware -current setup or must it be a Salix host system?
Thanks

Re: Autogroup kernel?
Thanks JRD But, there are no headers available for 2.6.37 for Salix right? Would I first compile the kernel using 2.6.33.4 headers, then do make headers_install (and install kernel/modules, firmware), reboot off new 2.6.37 kernel, then re-compile it again using the new 2.6.37 headers? Last night I m...
