Well I've insulated the touchpad and so-far-so-good. I don't want to say it's completely solved just yet (mostly because this is an intermittent issue) but I really hope so.

I obviously need to refine my search skills .

I've already tried specifying the top, bottom, left an right in the xorg configuration but it didn't help.

My guess is that it isn't specific to slackware/salix. It could be specific to linux in general, but still I find that hard to believe. Or maybe specific to the kernel version in 13.37. I started writing a new version but then I realised that you need Google Chrome installed to check the current version. I can still upload it with the option to build both architectures but it's not really suitable for updating packages on a server.
