I have been using Slackware for the past year or more, but this release looks very updated and I will be switching back to Salix.
I hope that will be able to contribute in a meaningful way.

Re: USB Stick not booting iso file
After that misshap all partions and directories of that drive could be accessed. If you can boot from another drive on that machine you might be able to mount the drive with the broken partition table and copy everything that you want to keep. You can try gparted to mount the drive then a file mana...

Re: USB Stick not booting iso file
I had some trouble getting a usb stick to work a while back. Shador told me to try something that worked for me. dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb bs=512 count=4096 Then recreate the partition table and add one fat32 partition with gparted (as long as it creates a proper partmap) but any other tool should...

In order for the dd if=file.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=1M; sync method to be bootable, the *.iso file must be "hybrid" or contain syslinux. In some cases this can be accomplished by running isohybrid file.iso first, then dd if=file.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=1M; sync It sounds, however, like djemos is usi...

Re: Does Sourcery Slackbuild Manager actually work?
You can get access to these new updates by adding http://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/14.0/ to the slapt-srcrc file. Just be aware that you may see two options for some applications. I tried this before and it didn't work, so I thought sbopkg was the best alternative. After reading your post, I trie...

Re: Does Sourcery Slackbuild Manager actually work?
Have tried to download about 6 different programs and apart from one exception they either bombed out because they do not download properly, or cannot be found anywhere on my system after the compile. So how useful is Sourcery Slackbuild Manager? Or am I doing something wrong? Paul. If you using Sa...

Re: gPodder-3.4.0
gPodder-3.5.0 has been released fixing the 1730 bug . I have submitted a new gpodder.slackbuild to SBO. It should show up in their next commit. I am not going to submit a Salix package, since the Salix repo uses gpodder-3.3.0, which is not affected by the bug, and we all know the wizard's policy of ...
