Re: In inputrc, making backward-word and forward-word work
Hi guys, sorry I meant Ctrl+leftbutton and Ctrl+rightbutton, not mouse clicks. OK, so did you really try this solution or are you just posting what you found? BTW, the \eOd and \eOc codes are for ctrl-left and ctrl-right keys, it's just only that they work in rxvt. I have been using the solution I ...

In inputrc, making backward-word and forward-word work
I'm not sure if this is just me, but I've gotten used to pressing Ctrl-left-click and Ctrl-right-click in the terminal to move backward and forward a word, rather than just a letter. However, in Salix OS, when I press Ctrl-left-click, it just enters the letters "%5D" over and over. I found...

Re: Issues with copy/paste
I've been running in Xfce for most of the morning and I haven't had the copy/paste issue yet, so maybe it is i3. I'll see if I can contact the devs for answers. Thanks.

Issues with copy/paste
I'm running Salix 13.37 with the i3 window manager (which is launched via gdm session). I've been noticing that copying and pasting behavior has become unpredictable since I switched to i3 and I'm not sure why. Sometimes when I copy from an application and try to paste in another, it pastes the prev...

Getting Salix to work better with laptops by default
I've been running Salix OS 13.0.2 64bit on an old laptop for a month or two now and it has been a good experience overall. Once I got things up and running and fixed a few issues, things have been good. I wanted to bring up a few of the issues I've had (and solved for myself) and see what you guys t...

Re: SLKBUILDs for RabbitVCS and dependencies
A new version of rabbitvcs has come out, v0.13.1, and the packaging is a bit simpler now. You just need the one rabbitvcs package now. http://www.cobradragon.com/~adam/salix/rabbitvcs.tar.gz http://www.cobradragon.com/~adam/salix/pysvn.tar.gz , http://www.cobradragon.com/~adam/salix/python-configobj...

Re: Use filezilla instead of gftp as the default FTP client
Personally, I find filezilla easier and nicer to use. I don't know if I could offer a point-by-point comparison of each's features, though. I can understand if this isn't enough to convince you guys ;) I was able to use the available SlackBuild from slackbuilds.org to build filezilla, but it require...

Use filezilla instead of gftp as the default FTP client
There may be people that still use gFTP, but in my opinion FileZilla is much better, and it really only requires wxGTK, which is in the repositories already. What do you guys think of replacing gFTP with FileZilla? Or at least providing a package in the repositories.

Re: SLKBUILDs for RabbitVCS and dependencies
Thanks for your contribution. 8-) For your information: There is already thunar-vcs-plugin in the repository, which integrates into thunar with a context menu to file and can do both svn and git. What are the differences to RabbitSVN? Beside the facts that it is written in python and therefore has ...
