Re: SDL failed to initialize the video subsystem.
Thanks again gapan. Your comments helped to point me in the right direction and after recompiling dependencies and the application, I managed to get it to work.

Re: SDL failed to initialize the video subsystem.
Thank you very much gapan, I shall try your advice when I get back to the computer. I am currently running the application from the command-line thus: mono /opt/openbve/OpenBVE.exe Is it possible to chain multiple commands like this: SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11 mono /opt/openbve/OpenBVE.exe Or do I need to ...

SDL failed to initialize the video subsystem.
I have installed OpenBVE (http://odakyufan.zxq.net/openbve/index.html) and its dependancies (mono, SDL, OpenAL). Re: Salix Xfce 14.0RC2
Sorry - I'm still a bit of a newbie to Slackware. Had a busy few weeks breaking distros and learning lots! Come on... refresh the package cache first... I did "slapt-get --update" as root, a couple of times. Is there something else needed to force a refresh? There are no other repositories...

Re: Salix Xfce 14.0RC2
... Mozilla Firefox browser has been replaced ... However, Firefox is available in our repositories and any users that feel the need to keep using it instead of Midori can just install it using the package manager. I am not seeing Firefox in the repositories (used slapt-get and sourcery) - do I nee...
