Salix XFCE4 14.0 using Openbox with fbpanel
on my old Averatec lappy (1GB ram, 30GB HDD, AMD 1.8 K7-mobil)
I use it for writing my short stories.
Works great!

OK here's the kit for 13.37 with 2.6.37.6 and 2.6.38.4 live kernels, modules, etc Install the kernel, modules, and live kit, decompress the lls in /root and run the build script (./build) kernel patches just there if you want to make a customized kernel http://www.fileden.com/files/2012/12/2/3372273...

Why not create the persistence file manually? mount the usb where you want to put the persistence file, cd into the mounted usb, and then run this command as root dd if=/dev/zero of=slxsave.xfs bs=1M count=1024 mkfs.xfs -f slxsave.xfs That would create a 1GB save file NOTE: That's if Salix is still ...

Dual-booting XP and Salix Fluxbox 13.37 on a Averatec 3150H 1GB RAM, 1.6Ghz 30GB HDD AMD AthlonXP-M with Broadcom
Installed Broadcom drivers via Gslapt/Sourcery and wireless worked right away:)
Mine runs at about 80MB RAM sitting still.

just as root moving them to /usr/share/icons or /usr/share/themes
only some, like Awoken, dont work, others do...
is there a way to do it besides that?

hey guys many times I install various icon themes and alot of the time I have noticed that only root can use them? for instance I downloaded and installed Awoken icons in both my Slackware current and SalixOS 13.37 installs and everything works fine in current, but in my Salix install only root can ...
