Salix revisited
Yet I am back again... Want to thank all the Dev's for maintaining a wonderful distro. A while back I had switched to Gentoo for my home desktop. I really like the configurabilty and level of control there. So a few days ago I got laid-off from work and acquired this laptop mainly for mobility and j...

Glad to be back
So it has been over a year since I have used Salix. I have used Arch and it was a great experience. However I think I ended up wanting more stability. So the last two weeks I have installed and tested maybe a dozen distros. Never quite happy with the end result. Then I remembered about Salix. Not qu...
Thanks!
Just want to say thanks to the development team and all people who contributed to another great Salix release. I have been away for awhile, alot of major events at home. So far I have been enjoying the XFCE 14.0 release, hopefully I can find the time to stay active in the forums. Well off to see wha...

Re: What filesystem do you use in Linux?
I use ext2 for my /boot partition, no need for journaling on the /boot. And ext4 on all other partitions. I think I might try XFS next time I try a new install on my other computer, heard promising things about XFS.

Re: Salix 13.37 Screenshots
fluxbox, this time I changed gtk theme, put some dockapps in the slit, conky now just to display flux keys. Oh and went to true transparency, but had to install and use cairo-compmgr, xcompmgr was bugging out for me. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_I2QB8iBbUo/ThJvCqNFDrI/AAAAAAAAAJE/g0-AhGYCQS0/...

Re: conky cpugraph gradient (doubles??)
Well I am going to mark as solved. I verified all my settings with other conky scripts. So I just created a new .conkyrc file, and re-wrote everything. And for some reason it worked. So I guess something was screwed up in my original .conkyrc EDIT: So this is looking weird. Maybe it's only with my s...
